Tribute to Darren Hamilton, 1970 - 2026

Darren wasn’t just a friend — he was one of those rare people who genuinely made life better simply by being in it. The kind of man who could make you laugh when you least expected it, lift a room with his presence, and stand beside you through good times and difficult ones alike. Friendship with Darren was easy, natural, and real. He had that gift of making people feel welcome, valued, and included. Whether it was sharing stories, winding people up with his humour, having a pint, or just being there when it mattered, Darren left his mark on all of us. He will be remembered not only for the laughs and memories, but for his loyalty, warmth, and the way he cared for the people around him. Some friendships come and go, but friends like Darren become part of your life forever. It’s hard to accept that someone with such character, energy, and spirit has gone so soon. But the memories he gave us, the stories we’ll continue telling, and the impact he had on family and friends will never fade. We were lucky to know him. We were better for having him in our lives. A loving father ,his infectious smile ,sense of adventure ,courage and the ability to make friends from all walks of life will live on in his beautiful son .
